Andrew Wilson - Practice Director
BPD BArch (hons) RAIA
Ideas man and lateral thinking. Andrew started Wilson Architecture in 2005 having gained broad industry experience ranging from small boutique projects through to designing an entire city in Asia. He has also held teaching positions architectural history and architectural design.
Andrew is passionate about design which he combines with penchant for problem solving and attention to detail. He draws on a love of the arts, extensive visits to both ancient and contemporary buildings around the globe and a love of the natural environment. Andrew is also a skilled drawer which he uses to both explore design possibilities and communicate ideas to clients, consultants & contractors.
“Andrew was engaged to design our new house and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Having spent my career in the printing and graphic design fields, I have never come across anyone with such strong drawing and visual communication skills. Our design meetings were always fun and consisted of great ideas that were presented in a way that we could immediately visualise the concepts. The results speak for themselves: finely crafted light filled spaces that capture the view, look fantastic and are a pleasure to live in.”
